The Recycled Paperboard Technical Association is a Non-Profit Association that brings together the expertise of over 100 paper mills worldwide, which manufacture products from at least 90 percent recovered fiber.  RPTA is dedicated to the improvement of the Recycled Paperboard Industry. 

RPTA’s long-standing commitment to the use of recovered fiber and recycling has developed a series of unifying goals and principles. 

•   Maximizing the value and use of recovered paper stock.

•   Encouraging the elimination of potential contaminants.

•   Developing improved cleaning and manufacturing processes.

•   Improving the quality and characteristics of recycled paperboard to             maximize its competitive value.

•   Monitoring and participating in worldwide technological sharing.

•   Funding research at a level beyond that of an individual member company.

•   Assuming a technical leadership position on regulatory issues impacting      the industry.

•   Minimizing the use of energy in producing recycled paperboard.

•   Providing a focal point for equipment manufacturer, research and                 development work.

•   Supporting and utilizing educational pilot plant facilities to improve               products and processes.

•   Emphasizing member participation and involvement, which is essential to     forwarding these principles and the industry.
