Membership and Membership Classifications: 

RPTA, a worldwide Non-Profit Association that serves the recycled paperboard industry. The Association is organized and operated as a business league.  RPTA is based on company membership, not individual membership.  An individual is a member by virtue of their Company’s membership.

RPTA embraces four different member classifications, each having their own qualifications. 

•       Regular Membership

•       Containerboard Membership

•       International Membership

•       Protocol Membership

The one overarching principal in each membership classification is that members are engaged in the business of manufacturing recycled paperboard constituted of at least ninety percent (90%) recovered paper and fibrous raw material.  Each member also recognizes that recycled paperboard must constitute a substantial share of that company’s relevant production and that each company shall actively participate in the activities of the Association. Membership dues are assessed annually at the instruction of, and approved by, the association’s Board of Trustees.  All dues, in each classification, are based on the common denominator of annual total tons produced/sold of relevant material.
